In an attempt to revive Monte Carlo's performance image, Chevrolet adds a supercharged SS version for 2004. The LS gets new 17-inch aluminum wheels, and there are a couple new appearance packages, Sport and Winner's Circle, available on the LS and non-supercharged SS.

• Spacious interior, low sticker price, strong acceleration with supercharged V6.

• Mediocre performance on non-supercharged models, bland interior with cheap materials, no passenger side-impact airbag.

  Bought my first Monte SS in 2002 and dubbed it the Batmobile. After seeing and driving the 2004 supercharged SS, I couldnt resist purchasing it. To top it off, I got a great deal on a great car! The ride is comfortable and exhilarating, the power exceptional and the subtle changes that were made between 2002 and now make my new Monte Carlo a pleasure to drive.

  My first Monte was a 98 LS. I put 130,000 city miles on her before trading. In that time I went thru 4 sets of tires, 1 battery and 1 alternator. It was good enough to mak me trade for another Monte. I hope my luck holds out with this one. Great car so far ;)

  Supercharged a big PLUS - 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo

  Smooth ride except on bumpy roads due to suspension package, Supercharged version much better than either regular SS version. (Have owned both) Great seats & comfort and plush with all the toys. Only negative so far is the sound of the engine, very tinny like a Honda or Toyota. Need to get sound up to go with 240 HP.

  I purchased my Monte Carlo LS earlier this year. So far nothing has happened with the car, Ive had only small problems. For one, the car has some rattles on the inside of the car, and the interior wasnt put together all that well. Im a mechanical engineer for interiors of cars and the craftsmanship on the inside wasnt that great. But, the Monte is a very stylish car and runs and performs great for the LS model.

  I find the comfort in my Monte Carlo a littl less than satisfactory, but the drive is smooth and can be quite fun on an open road. The exterior is also very atractive and origional compared to past models.

  We have enjoyed our car very much. It handles well & we love driving it. We get a lot of compliments! The quality is not so great. Weve had this car a little over 2 years, and several things have not held up. We did prefer mag wheels, but did not have that choice.

  Ive had my Carlo for a few months now. So far Im loving it, no problems with it. Recently got dual exhuast for it with bow tie tips looks nice. I would definetely buy this car again if Chevy brought it back. I would not give this car up for anything else. except for my moms 2008 Malibu LTZ.

  I have had my car for a year now. I have never had any problems with it. It is one of those cars that is big enough to fit 5 people (which is good since I am only 19) but has the sporty image that I wanted.

  I used to have a Pontiac Conv. Firebird, I love this car so much better. I am disapointed in the review that was given on it.
